Ok my Facebook fam, now that I have told my close friends and family (and my Zumba/boot camp/pump family) I am informing you all... I was diagnosed with a form of skin cancer 😩 I tell you this not for attention or sympathy but to bring awareness! I am hoping by sharing that I can be an example to those who worship the sun and use sun beds like I used to! This spot was just red and itchy and a little tender I shrugged it off for about 6 months and then after it not going away, got a biopsy! It was just a matter of making an appointment with the dermatologist! Really no big deal. So PLEASE if you have some curious spots get them checked! Early detection like with any cancer is key! My surgery to remove the spot is August 29th it will be outpatient but they are having to go into my shoulder muscle and do layering stitching so I will be taking a few days off to recover;) I am a little disheartened but doing ok please send a prayer my way if you think of me;) I am now going to buy stock in the spray tan that I use because Ill be using it the rest of my life;) ☀️
