Ok my idea of a mass message irritated a few people, that was not my intent. I am going to post the original message here and this is the last time I will post anything in regards to the fundraiser. Conversation started Wednesday Ina Marie 9/25, 10:30pm Ina Marie " Once Upon a Floor" My name is Ina Marie Ewen. I am a 48 year old wife and mother of 4, Grandmother to 11. I was diagnosed in February of 2013 with Pancreatic Cancer. I had surgery on March 26th, the surgery done was the Whipple Procedure. It has been an up and down ride, but positive for the most part. I used to have a thick head of hair, but as a result of the Chemo, I am currently shedding more than my cat. I know it is only hair and it grows back, but when you find it everywhere, everyday, all day, it wears on you emotionally. < well for me it does anyway>. I belong to a group on Facebook and was complaining about it one night, and ranting about not having the " balls" to shave it off,when a complete total stranger offered to be my shave buddy. Thank you Kellee . Then I was talking about it with another friend, who said that someone at her place volunteered to be shaved as well, turns out it was 3 people. Thank You Helene and Ian and Riley. I would like to also say that my Hubby is also going to be shaving his head cuz 2 bald heads in the family are better than one. I would like to add Tim Abello to the list of people who will be raising funds and shaving his head. We have decided to turn this into a fundraiser for the Cross Cancer Clinic, where I receive my treatments.They do such amazing work there, and the staff seem more like family. We are going to be auctioning off the head shaving one person at a time at the venue and the person who bids the highest gets to do the shaving. There will be a Thank You printed in the local paper and a picture of the cheque being presented. This will be done in October in Lloydminster as that is where most of the shavees live, just waiting for the Date and Venue. With all this being said, I am humbly asking for your financial support in shaving my head. Any donation will be gratefully accepted.
