Ok my softball friends, while Christmas and Toys for Tots may be the furthest thing from your mind right now, I am currently working on getting everything in place for this years benefit tournament. While last year was a huge success, I want it to become bigger and better this year! I have already talked to the management at the Tilted Kilt about the prize package. There will be a 100 free wings and a $75 gift card for the winning team. New this year will be a $75 gift card for the second place team to the Kilt as well. Everybody will still receive $5 of Kilt Cash for entering the tournament. I learned a lot last year while trying to put this together. One of the things I learned from talking with the Marines is that while the toys are great, cash goes even farther for them. They have a greater buying power than what you and I do with tax exemptions and such. So this year will be a flat $150 entry. I will still be putting bins up at all of the fields to collect toys. Hopefully there are people that can or will do both!
