Ok ok ok I have ONE last fact to share with you guys but I promise its a good one. So having Cystic Fibrosis definitely has a lot of down sides, but one of the perks, if you will, is that I get to work with the Make-a-Wish Foundation. I first made my wish during my sophomore year of high school, I wanted to be on the Ellen Degeneres show with my family to talk about CF, spread awareness, and sing our song Thank You for Giving Us Hope. Her people said no, so I changed my wish to perform and talk about CF on any national television show. Fast forward almost 6 years, and still no one wanted to grant my wish. Unfortunately your wish expires when you turn 21, which for me is June 27th. Needless to say, I e-mailed my wish-maker a couple months ago and said that I wanted to change my wish one last time to one that I thought might actually come true. As many of you know, I loooooooooooove Jimmy Fallon and I watch his show every night. He is one of the funniest people on television and always manages to put a smile on my face no matter how upset I am. When I have to stay in the hospital for a couple days I look forward to staying up late just so I can watch him because he is such a source of joy in such a bleak place. He seems to be one of the most genuinely happy people on the planet and his attitude is so infectious! I changed my wish to go to a taping of his show and to meet him afterwards, and after another couple months of waiting I got the news today that my wish has been granted. Let me repeat: I AM GOING TO MEET JIMMY FALLON!!!!!!! Monday 6/9-Thursday 6/12 I will be living it up in New York City with my best frand and my madre and I couldnt possibly be more excited!!! We will be in the audience of the June 10th show (not sure who the guests are yet but I dont even care!!) and then we get to meet him afterwards. Among other activities are a makeover, a swanky dinner, limo transportation from MA to NY, tickets to Aladdin on Broadway and a swanky hotel room :D I will be taking a billion pictures chronicling my adventure so I apologize in advance for boring you all with my escapades :) I AM SO HAPPY AND EXCITED THAT THIS IS FINALLY HAPPENING!!
