Ok, one more time now that weve addressed the Racist issue (successfully I might add ) Cliven Bundy paid for water rights and he paid all applicable state fees. He was willing to pay the grazing fees to the state. They would not accept it. He does not recognize federal jurisdiction over public land. Neither does the Constitution. Period. They have never amended it otherwise. They pass statutes and there are executive orders blah blah.... they are not law and they do not authorize the federal government to claim ownership or jurisdiction over any land aside from the District of Columbia. If they want him to pay the federal government for using public land which belongs to the people, they need to amend the constitution to reflect the will of the peoples desire to have the Fed manage it. They cant. Until they do, Mr. Bundy is completely right and the feds and the media are wrong. Statutes and codes are NOT law. If the authority is not expressly enumerated then it is strictly prohibited. It is not Cliven Bundys fault that no one understands the document which is the foundation for the rule of law in this country. If anything it is the Federal governments fault for assuming the responsibility to educate everyone on what the proper role of government is and ours for being to lazy to read a 20 page document and demand the government comply. They use the threat of violence to intimidate us into consenting to their demands. Why shouldnt the people do the same? This whole country has gotten the idea of self-government completely upside down.
