Ok parents. I have a friend/coworker that has an 8th grade son that plays football in a small town. Yesterday his son came home with a bruised but after receiving a swat with a paddle for the of fence of wearing his personal tennis shoes and not his school issued football cleats. Football season is over and last I checked it is 2013! There were several boys that received a swat for this offense and it was not specified that they must wear the issued cleats. I was told that you have to agree to allow the coach to swat your son if he is to be allowed into athletics. Any thoughts?
