Ok, really final war story. Maybe two months after I got back from my first cruise I asked for one more mission, “A Special Forces Planning mission,” I sent it in writing to the pentagon and I got one. The mission was to extract a bunch of people who had got caught in Somalia. So I did it, and it worked but my CO was like, Thats it Robert. It would be years before one of the New Lieutenants would spend enough time in combat for you to get called again. Why dont you join the Army, you would probably make sergeant in a year. You could get a commission but you’ll probably have to go back through the school again.” I went home and I did, I joined the 101st and I made it through the training, and made sergeant but I got moved to the reserve. I wanted to quit but they said just stay home and if something happened they would call me. They did and I went to Fallujah, when I got back I went to Army Officer Candidate School and I graduated, then I went to Ranger School and I graduated. So one day I went to New York City to see my lawyer and I got transferred to the Upstate Army Ranger Outpost for, “Combat Airborne Training,” in upstate New York. They told me it was upstate and then Iraq. So I went but they had too many New Lieutenants for it to be my Job so I just wore a sergeant’s uniform and the training started, but I suggested it got move to the desert and those became the new orders. The Mohave dessert, I have been there three times for training and the first time was the worst. We completed training but they sent the unit to Iraq and me home. About 1 month later, I got a call, to report to the unit in Iraq. I went there for two weeks and I was concussed by explosions and I was sent home for a month. 30 days later I got new orders, First Command, 30 Rangers, Fallujah Iraq, Ranger Outpost. I went and I spent about 10 weeks there and it was crazy. Upstate Rangers with some other rangers including me were made the federal banking authority’s Sheriff for Fallujah and 100 miles around and also for the department of public safety. All we did was survive was armored helicopter crashes and raid villages, and raid banks. It was out of this world. One mission was to go to this place it was kind of like a small town, with a lot of shopping and I can’t remember the name but anyways, 250 rangers and what they said was at least 2,000 Fedayeen Sheriffs and their al-Qaeda fighters in the city first thing Saturday morning. We supposed to take the whole town over, everything. I was one of planners and I fought in the battle too. I ended up being more like 500 Rangers on 6,000 people that didn’t want us there. It is stupid hot in Iraq and after the first day it was just a battle to stay in the shade. We would attack two sections of the town just to exhaust the enemy so we could sneak in to rest. I swear I was sleeping right next to Fedayeen more times and we would just try to move out before they woke up and it very rarely actually worked. Then it would be day again that was the new battle, hand to hand just to keep from dying in the sun. Anyone who knows anything about desert warfare knows that French Foreign Legion Spends the most time in the desert. They were sent and at first it was a disaster but we managed to get enough places to stay alive after a while. That was about 2 weeks’ worth of what I can only tell you I remember as not being able to see because of sweat and then not being able to see without night goggles at night and just gunfire and screams. It was so dangerous and such a huge disaster zone there that at one point the French government called it hell on earth and they were just going to blow it up. I swear to god it was too, it was the unexplained to say the least. The sewers filled with red liquid and boiled and ghost were floating all over the city, people just turned evil. No word of a lie somehow this voice would come over the radio that said he was Satan and that we had to leave the city or all of hell would break up through the ground there. This city was radio jammed by satellite for everything other than one frequency made my one station. It should have been impossible. Finally the 101st airborne landed with 3,500 soldiers and we took the city. The sewers drained and one thing I will say about one happened there is that all the children somehow became invisible. You are not hiding from the United States Military like that and we never saw one child after that firsts day’s fighting and then at the end, they were just everywhere. The banks capitulated and the people made a new deed for the whole entire town. It was peace and finally it was quiet. I have seen things all over the world. There is a famous picture that was taken in Albania and it shows Mary the Mother of Jesus hanging in the sky over a battlefield and I took that picture but I sold it to this guy. This is a fact in federal court that I took it. I swear again the Prophet Muhammad did the same thing over this city but it was too bright to take a picture and we tried. We had some arrests to make and we did it and it was another few little battles for us and you can ask anyone that was there and near me after that because they would probably tell you that same thing, “Every single last one of these kids somehow just had on the same clothes as The man we saw in the sky. The sewers drained and poppies, and flowers grew out of every crack in the street that was near me. The people in the city swore that all the dogs had been killed and I must have saw 50 dogs, at the end of the battle. “The temperature dropped and it was just a party for about three days. The government gave us leave and little by little those kids changed back into their normal clothes and those flowers died and disappeared. Sores healed, the whole entire city had not a sweat mark on it, no sores and no bugs to be seen either, the hair of almost all of the sergeants and the officers that were there turned black. Everyone’s sunburn just turned to a suntan.” It was really a true miracle.
