Ok...second rant for the weekend. Here goes.....I do understand (and usually EMBRACE) that we need to teach our kids things like social interaction, manners, how to be self-sufficient and so forth. BUT.....if Subway is full (line up out the door), staff are new and ingredients are running out all over the place, this really is NOT THE TIME to have your precocious 6 and 9 year old girls ordering for themselves. They giggle, change their minds, ask a million POINTLESS questions (Will the chili sauce that man is having on his sub be hot enough to make his nostril tingle? and another round of hysterical, unproductive giggling), call out to their mum (who is on her phone at the table texting) and generally piss-fart around. And then they spend minutes checking which ones which by dissecting the bloody things while still standing at the counter AND they pay with coinage from their bloddy money boxes (including all the 5c pieces). Now I remember why I am not maternally-inclined.
