Ok, so 7+ hours of my Senior Citizen Workout last week, topped off with a 16.4 mile bike ride yesterday. Heres what I learned about biking: 1) I really, really miss running. 2) I really, really hate biking! 3) Biking doesnt kill my ankles, knees, hips, and back (like running does). 4) Biking does kill my thighs, butt, and neck (felt like I was painting ceilings the whole time). And fingers on both hands keep going numb. 5) Cars treat bikers just like runners-- they want to see how close to you they can get when passing. BUT the worst one was the biker guy and chick! I swear I would have touched his handlebars if I had just raised my elbows a little bit when they passed! Grrrr!!! 6) I HATE real bikers!!! Two different times guys all decked out in their tight little spandex shorts, shiny little shirt, cool biking helmet, and $500+ professional looking bike sailed past me at twice the speed of sound as I snail paced up ridiculous hills!!! 7) Ill run 3 hours on my elliptical before I get on a bike again!!! And DONT try to tell me my butt will get used to this! 8) Im pretty sure I feel about the same re biking as most people do about running!!! lol
