Ok so Charlie tagged me in this, and it looks good. So ill do it. Top 10 games that will always stay with me. Rules are dont think too hard about it, they dont have to be the best games or the ones that had the most impact on the games industry, just the ones that had the biggest effect on yourself. Tag 10 people, and myself so i can see it. So here we go! 1) Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask. Anyone whos mentioned the LoZ series in front of me has heard me go on about this game. I loved the direction they took with it and how it so greatly varied from the usual formula of LoZ games. Creepy with incredible game play. Ill never forget the frustration i went through to get a hold of the fierce deity mask. 2) Final Fantasy IX. By the time this game had come out, i was already a massive FF fanboy. FFVII had taught me to read (a story my dad constantly retells) and FFVIII was the first ever collectors edition i ever owned, however i was sold on FFIX from the opening music. The characters were brilliant, the humour was incredible, the skill system was easy to manage (unlike the draw system) and the whole thing was just fun. Ive been back and replayed that game a dozen times, and now i even own it on the PS Vita so i can play it on the train :D 3) Front Mission 3. Not a game many people seem to have heard of, but easily my favourite turn-based tactical game by far. Its about travelling the world in mechs blowing up (or stealing) other mechs! Brilliant! It looks great for a PS1 game, and despite being only on 1 disc it had 2 incredibly lengthy story lines. 4) World of Warcraft. The game that stole my life. I was introduced to it by a friend early into its life and i was hooked pretty much from the get-go. This was a gateway for getting into MMOs as a whole (now one of my favourite genres of game) I cant even accurately describe how much i enjoy MMOs if im honest. 5) Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. Nothing is more fun than chasing after a giant dragon for 20 minutes, cutting off its tail and carving it in front of its very eyes. A joy id have never known without MH3U! Ive spent over 200 hours on that game and i am yet to get bored of it. It was the biggest reason i had for buying a WiiU, because i wanted to get online with it. 6) Persona 4 Golden. Before this, id actually never played a persona game, however Adam loaned me his PS Vita for a week and that game and told me i had until he asked for it back to play it. Aaaaaaaand i nearly finished it in that time, without cutting corners, missing quests or dodging grinding. I just couldnt put the game down. 7) Pokemon Crystal. This was the game that stood out most for me, mainly because it was when i was playing crystal that i ended up making friends for the first time who shared my love for games, and they were all, of course, playing pokemon. I remember the first trade evolution pokemon i ever got was a Scizor and i loved it fiercely! Crystal was my favourite until Black and White came out. 8) Tales of Vesperia. Not my first Tales game, that was Symphonia, however it was the one i enjoyed the most. I loved the characters (except Karol) and i loved the story and side quests. I remember the staff in game hadnt heard of it when i asked to pre-order it, but i still managed to get a copy on release day, which was lucky because the game turned out to be pretty hard to get a copy of after that. 9) Halo: Reach. I absolutely love the Halo series, not something i often admit due to people loving to dislike it so much. The biggest draw of the Halo games to me was that they were easier than most other shooters. Halo was the first FPS that i could get into because it was notably easier and served as an introduction into other FPS games. The other thing i loved was the local Co-op which i mustve played through dozens of times with many different friends. 10) Left 4 Dead 2. Ive played too many hours of this, and it hasnt stopped being fun. I love playing this with friends, especially Jacob who i think ive spent the most hours playing this game with, causing havoc and generally annoying anyone else we played with. So there is my 10 games, a whole lot of japan in there xD Couldve been wordier i guess. My 10 people: Jacob North, Jacob Keane, Brianne Orange Yakushi Crane, Kisarazu Mai-chan, Adam Ketchin, Stewart Pirie, Ross Peter Furmidge, Lawrence Williams, Robert Spence, Martin Goy.
