Ok, so I have to say something... To all the parents who are picking up their FAMILIES and moving across the country to be on a CHEER team...WTF??? Its CHEERLEADING people! I just read about a LEVEL 3 kid whos family moved across the country to be on a team. Have you all taken CRAZY PILLS? Please spare me the college scholarship banter. We all know the chances of that happening. Moreover- parents are sending their kids to LIVE in strangers houses so that they can cheer. Have you taken the water challenge one too many times people? Kids are foregoing their Freshmen year of college to be super seniors at select gyms. I sold my gym, and you may think this is sour grapes- but its not. I am out there in the trenches in gyms across America, and these past few months have been an eye-opener. I am hearing the CRAZIEST stories of these CRAZY parents making LIFE decisions for their entire FAMILY based off of freakin CHEERLEADING. I met a dad who was living on unemployment because his wife made him move across country so that their daughter could be on her dram team. He quit his job, and sold their house (losing equity mind you). I think you all need to watch more Oprah Winfrey.
