Ok so I was nominated by John Lofthouse to list my 10 most influential albums. Its taken some soul searching and deliberation but I think Ive got my list. These arent necessarily favourites, but ones that have had the most impact on me... Bonnie Tyler - Total Eclipse of the heart Duran Duran - 7 and the Ragged Tiger Adam and the Ants - Prince Charming Def Leppard - Hysteria Guns n Roses - Appetite for Destruction (first time they released it!!) Faith No More - The Real Thing Rage Against the Machine - Rage Against the Machine The Prodigy - The Fat of the Land London Elektricity - Pull the plug Jessie J - Alive Thats a pretty succinct history of my musical taste really. Some albums on the list were the first I heard in a genre which then prompted an exploration of a whole other list of albums and artists. Last one surprised me too...think thats something to do with seeing one of my kids develop a strong musical preference and having to force myself to look at what shes inspired by. Turns out theres quite a lot to like once you look beneath the surface and its made me re-evaluate what I consider my to my taste. So whod like to do their list? Can I nominate...
