Ok so I wrapped up the 3 day Refresh officially on Saturday - TopicsExpress

Ok so I wrapped up the 3 day Refresh officially on Saturday morning. You see I purchased the 3 day several months ago at Summit. While everyone jumped on board mine sat in my cupboard forever. I was in the middle of wrapping up Piyo and wanted to finish that first but honestly I was scared. It was something new. I didnt have time. I thought I would starve. If there was I excuse I made it. The 3 day refresh is not a quick fix. you wont drop a ton of weight fast because you are not supposed to. That is not the healthy way. What it did for me was give me the refocus I needed on my nutrition. After Piyo I got lazy with water intake and nutrition. I wasnt necessarily eating bad. I just wasnt eating right. Sometimes breakfast didnt happen until after 10 am even though I got up at 5am. I still manged to get a workout in but when you dont fuel your body right. Your workouts are pointless. The key to good health is proper nutrition AND exercise. Which is one of the reason I will forever be loyal to Beachbody. You see we dont have quick fixes or magic potions. We have tools that make things easier to help you reach your goals. Shakeology simplifies nutrition and the fitness programs help you have a plan by making exercise fun and challenging. It really is that simple. Where we stand alone is the support you receive from others who choose to join you on this Journey. If it werent for Joni who pushed me to finally bust it out of my cupboard it would probably still be sitting in there. So here is what I took from the Day refresh. I learned that even though I dont like Vanilla I learned to prep it because I had a ton of support from others. I also had my own cheering squad when I was lost or confused. I created some new habits. Drinking 8 to 12 oz of water upon waking up and having breakfast within in the hour really made me feel great. Although I was whooped each night of the refresh I woke up with phenomenal energy. Nothing you can get from an energy drink or coffee. It was a great reminder for to focus on when I was truly hungry and when I would just mindlessly eat. I am an emotional eater. I dont eat when I am sad but I can eat the paint of the walls if I am up late at night. I am mom and a wife and am constantly running myself ragged with family life. You see with the 3 day refresh if you didnt have abs to begin with you are not going to get them in 3 days. I took measurements though. Day 1 was down 5 lbs. That was a total shocker for me. That was something I didnt expect at all. But I am not going to lie , it did give me some motivation to push through Day 2 where I was down another 1.4 pounds. By Day 3 I was rocking and rolling. I woke up Saturday morning and had gained a pound. Did I stress? Hell no. you see you weight can fluctuate 2-4 pounds throughout the day. I am not a scale person. I believe that it does not define you and causes more defeat than good. So my final 3 day results left me at 2.5 inches smaller in my waist and a total of 6.4 pounds down. Mentally it shifted my focus. I knew I was doing something good for my body and I needed to hit the reset button. Hence why I am sharing the following video with you. We had a friend come from out of town yesterday to head to state fair. Yes I ate some fried food. But the difference is I didnt gorge on everything there. We all sampled each others stuff to see what the hype about really was. Which is really funny because there is a lot of hype around it all. I can honestly say out of the things I tried. I wouldnt go back for seconds! LOL and the funnel cake ale was just every bit of wrong. 2 sips and I couldnt get that nasty taste out of my mouth! HA! Yesterday I took part in something that I had always talked about doing. For years I thought about how fun doing this might be but FEAR set it. The excuses flowed fast. Doubt showed its ugly face. But for the first time in a long time instead of worrying about everything that could go wrong, I started thinking about everything that could go right! I hate heights and flying. But this was the most exhilarating thing I have ever done. So I challenge you. Stop worrying about what could go wrong and start thinking about what could right. Trevor told me before we got up there, you only live once. I told him, no son you live everyday! Disclaimer. Doing the 3 day refresh will not make everyone want to attempt this and there are few curse words in the video. youtu.be/8xlfEsyoZpM
