Ok so Im seeing lots of people talking poorly of Tom Cotton almost - TopicsExpress

Ok so Im seeing lots of people talking poorly of Tom Cotton almost as much as I hear people talk poorly of Mark Pryor. Lets re evaluate. Yes, as a veteran, I completely understand that Tom Cotton loves to talk about being a Ranger, when in actuality, us vets know that there is a difference between being a Ranger and being Ranger qualified. Im a sniper school graduate in a recon platoon, but Im not a sniper because Im not in the sniper section. Got it. Moving on. He is a combat veteran of the Iraq and Afghanistan campaigns. And yes, once again, hes not afraid to let you know. But lets be even more frank here. They say these things about themselves because there must be a political angle that the politician can move on in order to target voters. My guess is hes targeting the generation who still appreciates their soldiers and are very conservative, church going, patriotic right minded individuals between the ages of 40-65. The upper working middle class. And he hopes to get the vet vote. It all makes since. But then I step back and look at Mark Pryor. A liberal who has supported Obama. A guy who wants to waste my money to social programs and politicians pay checks. A guy who voted to cut defense spending. Supports common core. Did I say he supports Obama? Enough said. Case closed. Tom Cotton has gotten my vote and I really hope he gets yours. Also: just being a graduate of US Army Ranger School is enough proof that you are a proven leader with courage and grace under pressure. Every Ranger graduate Ive had the pleasure of serving with over the years is above most in all aspects of heir lives. Great PT, cool head, intelligent, confident.
