Ok, so during my listing out the rules of comp.s I have thought of another one we could do - does anyone want to have a duos challenge whereby we do a pet challenge but with pairs of animals instead of just one? List your name here if in this thread if you. Also occurred to me; would it be an idea to have a panel of 3 pro. artist members, who do not take part in the challenges, and who at the end of the year would be willing to collectively decide which is the best overall artwork submitted in all of our challenges? It would mean that you would have to look through all of our pictures in the galleries, come up with your shortlist and then confer with the other, say, 2, judges. Ill understand if no-one wants to for whatever reason, and maybe just one will want to do it, or possibly more. For this big one I think it would be good to have a panel? These judges should be professional artists who are at a high level of selling and/or who are art teachers, and so can judge in an informed way on the merits of our work. Please can all who are interested, from either angle, post your preference for the judging, and any or all of these ideas and if anyone want s to judge our big one if it goes ahead, maybe you could PM me in first instance? If no one wants to do it thats fine, but its an idea worth considering. We could also have more than one category and runner-ups, or if we cant get a panel up, we could as a group nominate entries (not our own) and then do a group vote. Would need to have a certificate designed and also some kind of prize so we could work collectively or voluntarily on those issues to.
