Ok, so every time I hear a Legalistic (A Christian who turns to the Old Covenant and not the New Covenant of Christ) I get a little more inspiration to keep preaching about Gods sovereign Grace. What I am about to say will hit a lot of people, even myself but its so true. We as Christians have a very easy time telling people when we preach or talk about the Word that there is ONLY ONE WAY TO GOD and that is BY HIS SON JESUS CHRIST. This is true, 100 percent true. Now if there is no other name by which we can be saved, why do we at times find it necessary to try to save ourselves and help God out a little bit by works, works, works? Get what I am saying so far? If we accept that Jesus is the only way to life, then we must accept his GRACE AND LIVE BY IT. Not just talk about it, we must LIVE BY HIS GRACE. This means living in the New Covenant of his blood which paid the price for everything! Jesus did it all. You cant make God any happier with you by going to church 3 times a week. You cant make God happier with you by living a certain way. You cant make God happier with you by Evangelizing to every single person on your street and in the same sense YOU CANT MAKE GOD MAD AT YOU!!! It is impossible for God to get mad at a person who lives by Grace because when he looks at you he sees his Son dwelling in you! When we are at our worst, he sees Jesus. When we are depressed and hurt, he still sees Jesus. When you think you have failed yourself, others or the Church, God still sees Jesus. When you are in a bad spot in your Christian walk and stumble from time to time, guess what? He still sees Jesus. ISNT THIS WONDERFUL!!! Now if we can be saved by no other name except Jesus, let us drop our performance, religion, and our achieving status and just accept Gods Grace. We arent meant to ACHIEVE anything, we are meant to RECEIVE everything!!! When you accepted Jesus in your heart, you traded your life for his and I am here to declare this day, NOTHING CAN SEPARATE YOU FROM THE LOVE OF GOD! We must realize this day that there is nothing in this walk with Jesus that can make God any more happy with you than he already is, and there is certainly nothing in this walk that will make God mad at you because he sees the Work of his Only Begotten son, Jesus. I love you guys today and I want us all to just learn how to Receive the promises of God rather than trying to Achieve what has already been offered as a gift! Comeback Kids Pastor Joey Bauer!!!
