Ok so heres the deal, Chef of Napoli ROCKED! ....But Im going to take a second to be brutally honest, to the general public...if you dont agree, or like it... well I cant help it...but sometimes patrons need to take a long hard look in the mirror and be honestIve worked in food service. I have been a hostess, expeditor, server, bussed my own tables, and bartender. I have learned from the very best (Greg Laufersky drove us all crazy at Chula Vista, but you can bet your dirty plates didnt sit, glasses got empty=refill or bussed, or if there was more than one butt in an ashtray, it was dumped). I consider myself a pretty darn good service, and my nightly tips would agree. So I can voice my opinion based on experience from both sides of the coin,,, 1-dont get pushy if they dont clear you plates right away...do not stack them on the edge of the table to encourage faster pre-bussing... 2- NEVER EVER go to a restaurant on opening night if you DO NOT have time nor patience... actually PATIENCE, if you dont have patience or understanding, do not ever go to opening night. WAIT THREE WEEKS! 3- Do not criticize the time it takes for your food to come out of the kitchen to your server...especially at a made fresh to order restaurant, and ESPECIALLY on OPENING NIGHT.....did you, the general public, miss the part where its their first night open and they had NO WAY to gage the amount of patrons.... If you flood in, on first day of business, see the parking lot is packed...get put on a wait list, and STILL COMPLAIN... you must be a real dummy. 4- Rushing your server gets you nowhere... what are you going to do, get up and leave and go fight a dinner crowd somewhere else... now youve lost travel time, and youre on a waiting list at yet another restaurant.... 5- NOT EVERY RESTAURANT in the TRI COUNTY AREA cares that you are a senior citizen and must eat by 4-6pm. If you can not wait, dont flock in at the same time...eat a late afternoon snack and pick a later dinner hour... but dont get mad because every gray top in the tri-county area goes to eat at a smaller establishment at the same time and you have to wait...and please dont stand behind the other dinner guests sitting at the bar eating, because they chose faster seating, and complain about your wait time...you wont rush me, Im still going to eat.... 6- and this is the very most important...NEVER EVER PISS OFF YOUR BARTENDER with silly cad remarks...they dont control the kitchen any more than your server... but they sure do control that Dewars and Water you rudely ordered, and I bet their jigger count (to you rookies, thats pour and count to a number) get much shorter the nastier you are. 7- Dont blame your server for the fact that the kitchen, who makes fresh made to order meals, that you are waiting on that hot dish 8- appreciate a friendly honest hostess...if she tells you 45 minutes, seats you in 30, shes a superstar... if she tells you 45 minutes and you get nasty.... you can bet your wait just extended to 55 minutes...just sayin 9- show some dining room class...dont yell across the dining room at your server as you were Archie Bunker in his chair, hailing Edith from the kitchen 10- Mind your manners, show respect, and appreciate the fact their is a great new small business opening in our little town...respect the people who are busting their butts to make your dining experience pleasurable...shake off the bad golf game, the deer you missed, the extra burpee you did, or the house that didnt close....and dont take it out on the hardworking folks of a restaurant..... In closing...my Seafood Capri at Chefs of Napoli ROCKED.... we were smart, we sat at the bar....Kathryn and Jarrod were GAME ON! The chef, he actually walked through the dining room and spoke to tables... a true Italian... and he knows the golden rule, The handshake of the host determines the taste of the roast!!!!! So welcome to Wildwood CON, looking forward to another GREAT dining experience...and so are my friends/family!!!!
