Ok, so if you dont know the story, while in the studio under the influence of lsd with guitarist Eddie Hazel, George Clinton asked him to play as if hed just learned his mother had passed away. There was apparently an entire song accompanying it that was dropped away to reveal the raw, beautiful, first take below. Ive listened to this 500 times and it gets better every time. It may be one of the best guitar solos ever recorded.
