Ok, so my RG is round-abouts finished as far as list and assembly go...Now im looking for something more esoteric and with a little less limitation in terms of how i can style the force. My initial plan was to have a small force of roughly 20 Legionnaires with 3 Knights, but it does seem to be a bit diluted because there are too many knights. On the other hand, I was looking at other forces who may be able to hold the ground while I await the fiery descent of my Legionnaires. So I thought of perhaps getting Ghost Rider style SM Bikers. I also like the idea of fiery vanguard veterans appearing from the ether, bringing fire and vengeance right into the heart of the enemy on wings of fire (I also happen to think Vanguard Veterans kick a lot of @***. Without further ado, this is the latest list ive thought of: Chapter Master - Bike, Artificier Armour, Shield Eternal, Burning Blade - 280 Chaplain - Jump Pack - 105 Vanguard Veterans - 10 man - Jump packs, 3 Thunderhammers, 10 Stormshields - 410 LotD - 10 man - Multimelta, Meltagun, Powerfist & Combi-Grav - 305 LotD - 10 man - Multimelta, Meltagun, Powerfist & Combi-Grav - 305 SM Biker Squad - 5 man - 2 Gravguns, Vet w Powerfist - 170 SM Biker Squad - 5 man - 2 Gravguns, Vet w Powerfist - 170 Total: 1750 Model Count: 42 Personally, im not a big fan of the large model count (42 models?! Thats practically a horde!) On the other hand, it is most certainly the best way to have Vanguard Veterans in the force. Ill be using RG chapter tactics (even though i know White Scars will technically be more useful for the bikers. I dont want to take Khan, I dont want to not have my Vanguards being unable to use their jump packs in both movement and assault phase. Would anyone have any suggestions on how to lower the number of models?
