Ok ... so my daughter works at Tookies in Seabrook. From the patio - TopicsExpress

Ok ... so my daughter works at Tookies in Seabrook. From the patio of Tookies you can see my grandmothers house. My moms family lived in that area when she was young. We have driven by that house a few times since Tookies re-opened thinking it was sad to see it deteriate. Today at lunch I reminded Sher that that was her great grandmothers house and said it looks better since it had been painted and the old garage torn down. She said Mom, Tookies bought it and our offices are in there. I told her I would love to see it again. Ali, her boss took me inside of the house and a flood of emotion just poured out. I cried while I told him of the memories I had with my family there. Aunts and Uncles, our cousins. The neighbor kids. The house looks beautiful inside now but to me I could still see where the couch was. The capped gas outlet where the heater was. My uncles organ, my grandmas room with her old sewing machine by the window. The most emotional part was being in the kitchen. I touched the wall by the back door where the old black rotary phone used to hang. I dont know why that particular memory touched me so profoundly but I am telling you I am on the top of the world right now. What an unexpected blessing. It was like turning the pages of a story book backwards.
