Ok, so not sure how to go about this, but I have a HUGE complaint about McDonalds on 1050 E. Lake Street in Hanover Park, Ill!!! Took my son, Kyle there to celebrate his 4th birthday party at 4:00 p.m.When we arrived at McDonalds about 3:45 p.m. the room wasnt even set up and they were not working on it either! We had nowhere to sit down, put our coats, balloons, party favors ect.. So, naturally I told someone that we were here for the party. Keep in mind, we have rented out this room and have it only for an hour and a half, which would be 5:30 p.m. They finally assigned someone to the room. There was no sense of urgency and she had no clue how to even set up the room!!! I told her politely to put all the tables and chairs in the middle of the room, with the placemats in front of each setting, but she never listened! When she was putting out the placemats, they were all wrinkled! I asked her to put out new ones, so she did! By now, my guests are starting to arrive with nowhere to sit or put presents because they were still working on the room!! Went up to complain to the manager and she sent someone else to help her! We got into the room finally! My dad went up to complain now, because it is now after 4:00 p.m. The manager said she checked the tapes and the room was ready by 4:00 p.m.That is a lie and wasnt true at all! In fact, one of my guests texted me that they were on their way. I texted back Dont worry, the room is not even ready yet. That was at 4:06 p.m. Anyways, I go to order the happy meals for the kids and the food took forever to come! The kids starting complaing and chanting We want food. When the food finally comes, they didnt know what food belonged to what person! After the kids were done eating, no one from McDonalds staff was cleaning any garbage off the table!!! I started doing it and my Mom told me not to! Now, its time for cake, but before that the manager had come up to me and asked me what flavor cake I had. I told her Chocolate. A few minutes later, the manager came back to me and said that they only had a vanilla cake and that the Chocolate cake was frozen, was that ok for me? I said fine. So, Kyle had a Vanilla cake. The manager also told us that we would get to take the Chocolate cake home with us. When you book a party, there is an 8 happy meal minimum, but we didnt have a good turn out with kids. We only had 5 kids. The manager, did compinsate us for 3 happy meals, which equalled up to about $21.00. When all was said and done, we went to pick up our cake and pay and wouldnt you know it, the cake wasnt Chocolate it was Vanilla!!! I have had enough, by this point, so I didnt say anything about that! Overall, the kids had fun with Birthday Boy, Kyle! Kyle had a blast, which is the main thing but I am VERY DISSATISFIED with McDonalds Customer service!!!Wanted to let friends and family know, in case you were thinking of having a McDonalds birthday party...Think twice!!! Did I leave anything out Bev Mysliwiec, Ray Mysliwiec, Jenny ELizondo, Amanda Kobylarz and Reshma Bhargava Penzien???? Sorry, if my thoughts are jumbled together. Jyst want people to be aware of my bad experience. Dont want this frustration falling on someone elses shoulders, if it doesnt have to! I also took a few pictures, which I am going to post to this! Oh, and dont worry, I wrote down everyones name that was involved! I will be calling Corporate!
