Ok, so this is political - which I usually try not to be - but I have an idea. Why not just pass a law that prevents insurance companies from denying insurance to those with pre-existing conditions? And while theyre at it they could cap the premiums and the copay to a fixed amount up to a certain percentage of a persons income? Seems simple enough to me. And those who cannot pay because of low income - instead of subsidies - be given a grant? When I was helping on a child care facility committee years ago, we had to offer scholarships to a certain percentage of families as to not discriminate and allow access to those with low income. Seems simple enough. One of the first most basic things I learned in my career was KISS - Keep It Simple S_______ - (chose the last word yourself.) I may have just solved the whole ACA problem! LOL!
