Ok, so while I realize many people think this is not a good thing, I absolutely loathe talking on the phone. I dont mind doing it for work related things, but with the exception of my mother, grandma, fiancé and best friend, I just cant deal. I cannot stand when Im texting with someone and they call because its just so much easier! ... Dont you know Im multitasking? Im probably cleaning, writing emails, alphabetizing art songs and doing a mud mask while having a perfectly productive text conversation with you. The dreaded I need to speak with you, when is a good time to call email or text makes me vibrate with anxiety and rage. I spend the next several hours glancing at my phone and wondering what could possibly be so serious that you need to speak on the phone. I delete voicemails once they exceed 20 seconds. I dont turn on my ringer (ever) and dont understand people who do. If I call you, it is almost definitely because Im driving and have my Bluetooth in and have no other choice. I consider myself an up front, honest and in touch person, so I really dont think this is an avoidance thing. I dont fully understand it - but I just hate it. I actually feel I express myself more rationally and clearly in emails and texts due to the extra time I have to formulate my thoughts and feelings clearly. Should I be trying to change this, or what?
