Ok, ta-ta looks like rain. What does that mean for what happens here you ask? We are going to open at noon and activities will proceed weather permitting. That means we will do what we can when we can. Looks like this is supposed to move through by about 5:00pm +/- . We have one covered wagon which we can operate in sprinkles but not a down pour. It is sort of cold also so we dont make our piggies come out in any sort of rain at all. What about the cannon you ask? Well I gotta be able to see the pumpkins fly at all times and NOT fall off the darn thing, so we may do some modified shots if at all depending how wet it is. Barrel train sort of fills up with water on the seats so it stops too. Basically we try and keep the maze open as long as possible. I put down about 30 ton of gravel on the parking lot drives yesterday and have another 30 in reserve if I need to put some more down on the main drives. The market/winery will be in full swing today! SOUPS today Cheesy Potato (outside concession stand) and Roasted Red Pepper and right now they are making Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice (That is AWEsOme!). Plus all our other great food too INCLUDING the Doughnut Machine! Dick Goddard explained what percent chance of rain actually means. Today we have a 50% chance which means they estimate that 5 out of 10 locations will get a shower, NOT that you have a 50% probability of getting rain everywhere, interesting think about it! Water turns dirt into mud so have higher tolerances than others and I dont know yours. 2. If is will be raining when you get here. 3. When it will stop raining, I can estimate thats all 4. Should you come, thats your call. Some people actually like this sort of weather we have found out over the years! 5. What next weeks winning lottery ticket numbers are.
