Ok this is driving me nuts, so here: A slippery slope is a logical fallacy. So if someone says, We cant let gays get married, next thing you know people will want to marry their dogs! then its appropriate to say thats a slippery slope argument! What you are saying is, Thats absolutely ridiculous, and logically fallacious. There is not a clear succession of events that would lead from point A to point B, you just invented a slippery slope wed all roll down THEREFORE When you are MAKING an argument, please try to avoid saying, Its a slippery slope! Because... you are actually saying that your argument is logically invalid. And thats annoying. Stop it.
