Ok this one is for you Michael Kimbell. Tonight around midnight up here in good ol Encinitas Im making my rounds around the place. We have transitioned over to night club/bar mode and have been going strong for at least two hours. I notice in the back of the dining are there is a table with about 8 guests all drinking and having a good time. I walk by and clear some glasses and then walk back to the kitchen when my busser says did you see the baby? I say excuse me, what baby? I walk back over and there is a cradle on a chair with a blanket over it shoved into the corner a good distance from where these people are hanging out. I approach them and this lady steps up. I say miss is that your kid. She replies yes is there a problem. I look at my watch in disbelief and tell her that she has to get that kid out of here. I explain the whole bar/club thing with minors and she says to me Im sorry nobody said anything to me so I thought it was ok. I held back what I really wanted to say to this parent of the year as there was a sub-woofer a few yards away from us and it was hard to hear. The best part was that she gave the baby to her significant other and stayed and partied with her friends till almost close. Ive seen a lot in my years but I have to say a baby in the club at midnight was a first!
