Ok, time to reveal my Pumpkin Pie adoptions! And this surely means a ka-trillion more to me than to anyone else, I am sure. Archie and Seven. Two of our Me-ow Mi-o hoarding case kitties found a home together. Both long haired, beautiful boys, that were abandoned along with 30 other cats in a closed up home in the dead of summer. No food, no water, no litterboxes, left by the person that was to love them. Some cats come through that experience ready to move on, and then there are some that just dont understand what happened and what they did to deserve to be neglected. I earned Archie and Sevens love, by letting them know it was ok to be untrustful and to let them be just who they are, until they were ready to let their guard down and let themselves be loved again. I adore both of these boys, shy, but sweet, timid but loving. And then came along Samantha. Looking to adopt either Archie or Seven. We had a long talk about what they had been through and about each personality, and she new instantly she couldnt adopt just one! Not sure what came over me first the head to toe goosebumps or the tears. 2 not so highly adoptable kitties due to their shyness, that had been here for over a year, went home yesterday. Samantha clearly wears her heart on her sleeve and Chris and I slathered her with hugs and hurrahs!! I could not have found a better momma for them, Sam is a one of a kind, sweet lady that works hard at life and earned her angel wings yesterday, for Archie and Seven are home...sweet...home.
