Ok weve all gone nuts over these sweet rescued squirrels so heres one last video! This little orphan is the one from the earlier video who didnt want to sleep while the other 2 were cozily napping. This guy was the theres one in every family squirrel. After a little while he settled in to nap and soothed himself to sleep by sucking his thumb. Wait... Do squirrels have thumbs? Regardless this fellow is adorable! This is one of the litter of 3 squirrels rescues from downtown Fredericton after the mother squirrel was hit and killed by a car. These little babies received temporary care as part of the Atlantic Wildlife Institute First Responder program before being transported to the AWI facilities in Sackville. Many thanks to Ali & Amy for rescuing the babies and bringing them to us and to Tracy from the Oromocto and Area SPCA for transporting them to AWI. Also a huge thanks to AWI for all they do to help wildlife in NB.
