Ok yall know I love cooking and so my Japanese friends are all starting to want me to make soul food. So far I made smothered pork chops with rice, cabbage with cornbread(johnnycakes) and my famous homemade no bake cheesecake for Ritsuko Katayama, Shizuka Komatsu Katsu Shijima 長谷川晃 and a few others and they loved it. Now my friends Kyoko Adachi and Manabu Adachi would like me to do the same for them. So, here is the catch. JAPAN doesnt really use ovens, just stoves and grills so my soulfood dishes are limited. Do any of my Afro-American friends and family have any suggestions on what I can cook on top of the stove? My mind is drawing a blank.
