Okay - HUGE update on the ankle situation. Today at 7 am I went for my CT scan. Waited nervously for my 2pm surgical consultation. Met the orthopedic surgeon, who proceeded to pull up my scan and tell me that there is clearly something on the talus bone that is a break or fracture. BUT MY ANKLE IS NOT BROKEN!!!!!!! What the xrays were showing was an old injury that has remodeled itself. The swelling and bruising was just a severe sprain! I WALKED out of orthopedics this afternoon, carrying my crutches in my hands, and I can return to my normal activities immediately. I am BESIDE myself I am so thrilled. This wasnt even supposed to be an option for how this day ended! AHHHH Thank you SO SO SO much to all my friends and family who have been so supportive through this and helped me keep my nerve when it looked like it may be a break with a long recovery. I am so appreciative and love you all so so much!
