Okay - bubble officially BURST! I thought I had found a safe, yummy lunch for Eden by buying wow butter (tastes just like pb but nut free, even comes with stickers) and after posting, have received millions (no exaggeration lol) of comments that most school dont allow substitutes (hard to tell, some idiots try to sneak real pb etc). Either way, I guess if I was a parent of a child with an allergy, I would totally support the no substitutes rule....so, as a social worker who DOES indeed have the ability to empathize with these parents, I get it. Will wait for response from Edens teacher tomorrow on a note I sent about it and will totally understand if not supported. Bummer but get it. Heart goes out to those parents who have to deal with the real fear of something happening to their child because of a life threatening allergy.
