Okay Facebook you guys were great the last time I had to ask about my next computing purchase. I got the MacPro and I love it. Its done me so well I now need to up the ante. Im in need of an ESXi server platform. The minimum system requirements are 16 GB and 4 CPU cores just to get started. But to get busy and really do the damn thing, Im going to need 16-core CPU, 128 GB. Now if we lived in a fantasy world where $ was no object I would have a server with 40-core CPU, 256 GB. Thats a lot of server how/where should I buy this? Id like to at least meet the minimum standard, but think getting at least a 16-core 128 server is the right move. What would you recommend? How much money am I throwing around here? And how do I learn to build it if needed? Questions you may have of me: What am are you doing with this Tomi? Virtualizing a lot of networks. When do you want to get this set up? Is yesterday an option? _______________________________________________ Also anyone know where I can learn ESXi in a weekend?
