Okay Friends, here is an update from my previous post about the horrible children in my neighborhood. Its a long one, but I appreciate anyone taking the time to read it and thank you for letting me vent! All your kind words of encouragement have been amazing. My son has felt so much better about himself and Im so thankful for all the support and the fact that so many people testified to seeing it for themselves. Having the validation is priceless. But has this stopped the kids outside from ganging up and bullying him? No! So as I promised, I wont post the video, but I will describe exactly what I saw the other day.... The house across the street has two boys that I will hereinafter refer to as Crazy and Dangerous. Apparently Crazy has made a new friend because there is a kid playing with him that Ive never seen before... (dont worry, the friend will soon learn...). My son and his friends get on their bikes to ride to the pool around the corner, so Dangerous takes the opportunity to jump on his bike to ride after them to call them names, leaving his friend all alone. Dangerous doesnt come back for a good 5 minutes. When he does, he gathers with all the other brats in the neighborhood and he and his brother Crazy take turns beating the trunk of this huge beautiful fir tree in their front yard. Bark is flying everywhere and the pulp of the tree is totally exposed, just killing it. Did I mention moms car is in the driveway? Anyway, the older man next door sees what theyre doing and starts marching towards them. All the brat pack scatter. I can see the man pick up the bat and motion for Dangerous to come back. Hes pointing at the tree and the bat, but Dangerous snatches the bat out of the mans hand, not even bothering to look at him. He starts swinging the bat as hard as he can, nearly missing his new friends face. From there, he wanders into his backyard and sees men doing construction in the backyard behind his... so he gets the hose and just starts spraying them through the fence. When the new friend comes up to try to say something, Dangerous just turns the hose on him! Tonight my son goes outside to water the plants and they all gather and start calling him names and laughing. He comes inside and tells me what happens and when I look out there, there is one of the Dads in the street! Maybe he didnt see it or hear it, but I cant see how. Obviously none of these people are my facebook friends, but I thought it was very interesting how the very first time I mentioned this problem on facebook, they magically knew about it. And boy! Did I get a response from them! And when I responded to them kindly, trying to end all of this trouble with another mother,,(even offering to help her get a job!) they ignored it, and the bullying from the kids just got worse! No response from the last one. Hmmmm..... In my last post about this, I made a promise that I would keep posting the rotten things these kids do until their parents teach them some manners. Now I am following through on that promise. So, again, all of you parents, if you dont care about how your kids treat others, then heres another dose of shame on you! I hope this cures you, but if it doesnt, I have plenty more! Thanks for reading, Friends!
