Okay, I admit, Im conflicted deeply on this one. Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane and Patrick Sharp are three of my favorite players. Toss in Corey Crawford, Duncan Keith, Marian Hossa and big Bryan Bickell, thats as formidable a 7 as there is in hockey. And Coach Q is a former Avs all-star. These are perennial Cup challengers (and winners) wearing the best-looking uniform in professional sports. (I once made a ceramic reproduction of Blackhawks head when I was about 14 or so, after talking with Bobby Hull at MSG). But my friends in Chicago, I live in Colorado. I bleed burgundy and blue... well, mostly burgundy. And after winning 5 of their last 6, including overcoming 3-0 deficits behind a rookie goaltender to beat Carolina and the Coyotes in the last two, I just got to, I mean I simply GOTTA, get behind Nathan, Matt, Gabe, Jerome, Erik, Ryan, Max, Cody, rookie Cal Pickard in goal. and the best money goaltender, ever, Coach Patty Roy. These are two of the best teams in the NHL. Last year Stephanie and I watched Varlamov shutout the Hawks 5-0 at Pepsi. Two weeks later they kicked our butts 7-2 at United Center. Dont miss this one. Puck drops at 7 Mountain, 8 Central.
