Okay, I have been tagged too many times now, so heres my book list: 1. Harry Potter Series - JK Rowling. Theyre the ones Ive re-read most number of times and this is a story thats going to stay with me forever. Dot. 2. Ponniyin Selvan - Kalki. The first proper tamil work that I read and Im fascinated by the tale till today. Would never tire of reading it again anyday. Vandiyathevan FTW! 3. Vyasar Virundhu - The Mahabaratha by Rajaji. I had this read to me by Appa when I was in school (with his own additions and opinions that made it so much better) and then read it myself later. This book was my first baby step at trying to understand our great epics. 4. Anne of Green Gables - LM Montgomery. How many teenage days I spent dreaming of Annes gardens, fields and sighh...her Gilbert. 5. Tell Me Your Dreams - Sidney Sheldon. This book probably cemented my reading habit (and made me a fan of Sheldon) while in school. Unputdownable! 6. The Millenium Trilogy - Stieg Larsson. Such powerful books. Full of issues I care about, told in a gripping manner...and a journalist as the hero - hell yeah! 7. The Palace of Illusions - Chitra Divakaruni. Mahabharatha as told by Draupadi. Nuff said. 8. The Illicit Happiness of Other People - Manu Joseph. Gave me a completely new perspective on life & happiness during a particularly time. Much thanks to Anand Jeyaraman for this one. 9. The Difficulty of Being Good - Gurucharan Das. I stopped reading it several times (its not exactly a thrilling book) and forgot about it for ages before some existential crisis would make me take it up again, in a vague hope for answers. When I finished it, I didnt have all the answers, but fell in love with Yuddhishtira. What a man. 10. Because Im restricting myself to 10, several books are now clashing with each other in my mind. But I am going to give it to the one man who never fails to give me inspiration whenever I need - Bharathi. Everyone should own a copy of any Bharathiyar Kavithaigal book they can find. Its my holy book. I am not going to tag anybody for this challenge, because frankly, Im done with seeing this on my timeline already! :P (If you see this and want to take it up, feel free). P.S.: I forgot Douglas Adams! DAMN!
