Okay I have two....7 from Abby Elizabeth Swanton and 8 from Mary Williamson so I guess that makes it 15 things.....this could take awhile my apologies. 1. I was raised in a little town in Eastern Iowa on a large farm where we raised cattle, sheep and corn and beans. We had a few horses when I was little, and we always had dogs... 2. when I was little about 4-5 I aspired to be a lion tamer (or trainer) at the circus....so I started to harass, I mean train my dogs to do tricks and do my bidding lol. 3. I decided at the ripe age of 5-7 not sure anymore that I wanted to be a veterinarian. I was sure at that time that I would do mixed practice and treat cows and dogs. 4. I took dance lessons for at least 6 years of my life, tap jazz and ballet. Tap was my absolute favorite followed by ballet. (not quite long enough legs for a ballerina though lol) 5. I was in the plays and musicals in high school, and I was the choreographer for the Anything Goes musical my sophomore year. 6. I had a crush on my 5th grade teacher Mr. Mitchell, and my Band teacher Mr. Van. 7. My nicknames have ranged from Sher-Bear (my favorite) to Sheryl and Scary Sherri (during my permed days) 8. I won the Clinton Riverboat Days karaoke contest and Opened for Trick Pony 9. I wrote an album of original songs with some of my best friends in Vet school and recorded them at the recording studio in Des Moines that originally recorded the music for Slipknot. The name of the Album is Questions, and it is all acoustic. I play the fiddle on it for a second. 10. I won the John Phillip Sousa Award in Band, and played the clarinet. I taught myself how to play basic trumpet and borrowed my sisters trumpet so I could play in jazz band, and I learned to play guitar..kind of and I will play fiddle by ear if I have a song to play with. 11. I won the High point individual National competition for the Meat Animal Evaluation Team for Iowa State University. I also traveled with the Iowa State University Livestock judging team for two semesters. 12. I moved to Texas to get away from the yucky winter weather in the midwest. Even though I miss all the people and family that I grew up with every day. 13. I used to ride my mare every single day...it is how I got through Vet school....it was my therapy. 14. I started showing cattle and sheep when I was 9, and I started showing dogs in 4-H shortly after that. 15. I was the Clinton County Beef Queen, and then shortly after that I was the Iowa Charolais Queen. I still have the tiaras. :)
