Okay, I know Ill get a lot of flak on this one: Maybe we should just go with these cautionary, brief quarantines, with some reasonable exceptions made. Three weeks off. Give these folks what they need to get some rest and reading done in isolation so that everybody in the community can sleep a little easier. Give their dependents a stipend. Its not like your life is never interrupted by stuff. Best example is jury duty. It always comes at the worst time. You have to stop your life. Sometimes its for 3 weeks--could be shorter or longer. But you do it because its your civic duty. Dont hate on me too much; Im just musing it over. (And thinking about how much I want 3 weeks off.)
