Okay I think I figured this debate out. Is every Muslim in the world a dangerous radical jihadist? Of course not. But the problem isnt with every Muslim in the world, the problem is with the cultures of many Muslim countries. Because dont tell me that every Muslim in the world is a devout Muslim without any doubts in Islam or the Quran. I bet there are plenty of secular Muslims, but unlike in America or Europe, those with doubts in sacred books or even with doubts in Allah himself, can not openly express their doubts. They cant just express their doubts or disagreements with Islam in the public square and in some cases not even to their loved ones or coworkers they cant express these doubts for fear of being imprisoned or even put to death for just questioning Islam. And when you have an environment, such as a region like the Middle East, where you are discouraged to openly question Islam and the Quran, thats an environment that will undoubtedly lead to a rise in extremism. Because no one dares to speak up. And perhaps its that Muslim cultural environment in which Bill Maher and Sam Harris is most critical of.
