Okay, I will be taking a FB break for a bit. There are many reasons. Here are a few. (Please read all the way to the bottom!) 1. Im feeling stressed as my point of view on so many things seems to bring out the nasty on both sides of the political fence. Because I have friends to the far Left and to the far Right I feel stuck in the middle when I tend to agree with one side or the other (Lately my leanings have been more Right than Left, but I have some strong Left sentiments too - just not relevant in recent months). Im feeling like my comments and feelings are being used as a springboard for arguments and not discussions. 2. A lot of friends have been posting videos that end with some ghostie-ghoulie thing popping up and screaming. I happen to have a low startle threshold and want to climb through the computer and throttle the poster. 3. Several people have been playing Gotcha Games to the point that I am afraid to comment on any of their posts as I will then have to post some nonsense to continue the game. One example: Someone posted something to the effect, Ive found the love of my life! I responded congratulations and then got a PM that I had to share one of several sentences on my timeline to catch others for some cause. Ive done this once or twice, but now its happening so often, and with so many people that the fun is gone and the only thing I feel is betrayal and just plain icky. Im not playing anymore! Now if you find that you have been the offender on any of these, my intent is not to call you out. I would just delete you as my friend if that were the case. ***This is MY problem*** ...and I need to take a break, go into the proverbial closet and not come out until I change my attitude. Ill probably poke my head in once or twice, to wish folks a happy birthday, but I wont be participating, sharing, or commenting for awhile.
