Okay, Im getting some curious messages based on my latest Book of Mormon obsession (and Sheas recent obsession with it). I understand why Im getting bombarded with questions, as my mother and her entire side of the family were Mormons. I should probably address the messages now. 1) The Book of Mormon we are obsessed with is A MUSICAL. 2) The Book of Mormon MUSICAL is SATIRE. 3) The Book of Mormon SATIRICAL musical was written by Trey Parker, Robert Lopez, and Matt Stone. 4) Dont recognize those names? They created SOUTH PARK. 5) South Park is that animated television show you dont let your kids watch. 6) There are duel messages in the musical. A: Yes, it ridicules Mormonism, but its really ridiculing all religions. Mormons are just too easy to use as an example. B: I dont want to give away the end, but the musical shows that if something makes people feel good and gives them hope, it doesnt matter how fabricated their whole religious story is. (Hint: The BLUE Book of Mormon turns RED at the end of the musical.) 7) NO, I am NOT becoming a Mormon. While I grew up going to the Mormon church here in Cardiff, I was never baptized. And Shea is NOT becoming a Mormon. If anything, we are both more Jewish than anything else (Yes, my jewish great-grandmother on my mothers side converted to Mormonism and was a pioneer who ended up in Jackson County Missouri, home of the Garden of Eden). 8) Watch the videos and you will see what I mean. https://youtube/watch?v=OKkLV1zE8M0
