Okay, Imma try to keep this short. My Ebola rant. For those of you that think its ok to allow infected persons to come into America with Ebola. Lets just pretend, that some rare virus, some kind of way, naturally occurs in crawfish, and since us Cajun types, love to catch and eat crawfish, we become susceptible to catching this virus, and this virus, lets pretend its called Crawfishola and its the type of virus that is a Hemoragic Fever, just like Ebola. And suddenly, this virus starts spreading throughout all over south Louisiana, and its spreading fast, and people are dying from it, there is no cure, and no vaccine. Do you think the rest of the country would be like Yeah, send those infected Cajuns over here to Texas or Mississippi or Washington DC, I got an extra bedroom, some of em can stay with me Or, do you think they would be like Let them crawfish eatin Cajuns stay in their own state...... Now, I am over exaggerating things here, to try and prove a point. Its not about race, its not about wealth, its nothing like that. Its a simple thing. The only way, ONLY way to stop the spread of Ebola, is to actually, physically, literally, STOP THE SPREAD of Ebola! How do you do that? By QUARANINE AND CONTAINMENT! By NOT allowing those infected with it, TO SPREAD IT TO THOSE WHO ARE NOT INFECTED! The old expression Nip it in the bud comes to mind here. America can, and should, help these countries where it started and where its bad. We have the knowledge, and the resources. I am all about helping. But, maybe I am missing something here, but can anyone explain to me how NOT STOPPING INFECTED PERSONS from coming into a country where that virus does NOT exist, is going to help anyone? This one man snuck into America by lying and saying he didnt have it, nor did he have any contact with anyone who did. Now, sadly, he died in a hospital in Dallas Texas, but not before he had contact with an estimated 80 to 100 people! So far, only one person was hospitalized, and turns out negative, so, thats good, but, what if 10, 20, or the whole 80 to 100 persons he had contact with got it? What if just 10 innocent people got it, and then they each infected 10 more innocent people each, and so on, and so on, and now you have 1,000 people infected with it, travelling all over Texas and the rest of America, unknowingly, maybe even knowingly, infecting other innocents? Would you, knowingly take an infected Ebola patient into your house, and expose you, your wife, your husband, your children, your family, to Ebola? No! You would not! If someone in your neighborhood had it, you would demand that the authorities made that person stay in their house, or be quarantined at a proper medical facility, right? So why is it wrong for any one of us here in America to say to the rest of the world, keep the Ebola patients where they are, and we will send any and all support that we can to help them. This must be stopped in its tracks. Nipped in the bud. Once the Genie is let all the way out the bottle, its impossible to put it back in again! If I am wrong, I am open minded enough to admit I am wrong, but someone will have to explain it to me why I am wrong, not simply accuse me of being racist. Rant over. Watch and listen to the news folks, they not telling us everything about Ebola, trust that!
