Okay, Ive got a lot o ground to cover, so here goes.....28 Days o Thanks - Greenberg Edition... in no particular order. Im thankful... 1. to be alive 2. for the basics - so important, but so easy to overlook. having a comfortable bed to crawl into at the end of the day, having a job, having a car to get me from point A to point B, and food on the table. 3. for people in general - family, friends, acquaintances - simultaneously challenging and inspiring. Take away the supporting cast and its nothing but a self-indulgent one-man show. Add them, and its a Sorkin-esque ensemble that gets me through the good, the bad, the ugly, and the utterly ridiculous. 4. to get paid to do something I like, and to have a cool new boss who has my back and encourages me to bring my best world-class badass game every day. 5. to have my radio show. Thank you, Plaza Midwood Community Radio, WGWG 88.3 The Range and 89.3 WHFR.FM for giving Debts No Honest Man Can Pay a place to grow & flourish. 6. to have ears that work so I can fill them with all kinds of music, podcasts, etc. 7. for all of the music Ive enjoyed and will continue to enjoy 8. that at my age, Im not too old to laugh at the things that made me laugh as a kid. 9. that theres a new Bruce Springsteen record dropping in 2014! 10. to have seen so many awesome rock shows - especially in the past year. 11. that I have the friends I have, that I have been able to make new friends since moving to Charlotte, and that I have friends back home in The D to miss every single day. 12. for the people who are no longer with us, but still occupy a spot in my heart, my mind and my soul. 13. that I got the chance to say goodbye to many of those folks before they left. 14. that Ive been able to drop a substantial amount of weight, manage to keep most of it off and actually like what I see in the mirror. 15. for every single human being who ever offered a hand of kindness, whether I deserved it or not. 16. for all the chances Ive had to offer help to others, regardless of how big or small the gesture. 17. that technology allows me to craft this list virtually anywhere with my choice of devices 18. that I still love antiquated technology, spending time in record and book stores, having record night with friends and waiting in line on Record Store Day 19. for food to sustain me, and food that smells as wonderful as it tastes 20. for 1-2-3-4-5 sense working overtime 21. for independent film & music, art, culture & literature and the people who live to create 22. that at my age, I still get excited about comic books 23. that I have tomorrow off 24. that people and life can still surprise me in a good way 25. for bad ventriloquism, dont hate, its hilarious and you know Im right. 26. that its easier now more than ever to be a vegetarian. 27. that I can laugh at myself 28. to have family nearby Happy T-Day!
