Okay, Ive tried. I really, really did. Ive recited the 23rd Psalm about 10 times this morning, but it just didnt take; - Im giving in to temptation and putting every major CFB fan-base on blast, including my own. We all recruit from the very same talent pool. This includes some unbelievably courageous and mature 17 and 18 year-olds who become amazing men, leaders, fathers and husbands. Unfortunately, it also includes some low-life thugs with very questionable associations and beliefs, a few criminals-in-the-making (see: A. Hernandez), and a ton of kids that have been enabled to break rules and ignore consequences since they scored their first touchdown way back in the first grade (see: C. Newton). What rival fans abhor in other fan-bases is the blind insistence and hypocritical stance that Oh, were different. At least the administrators at most schools dont engage in criminal behavior or impede investigations (see: FSU). In fact, at some schools the coaches suspend and dismiss players before the administration even has a chance to act. (See: C. Strong). Every single day, just remember that your teams players are probably breaking a few rules and engaging in behavior that you hope never goes viral. Every single day, just remember that your schools boosters and/or coaches are either making this reality worse or better. Its just a friggin game . . .
