Okay... So I dont agree with many of the things that politicians say recently... but net neutrality is a gigantic issue that BIG BUSINESS evades with their loads of cash (market shares, lobbyists, political funding, etc.), and favors an oligopolists gross and inappropriate manipulation of services and market... Im not saying there should be massive government oversight... but just a few companies should not have total control over something with such a large market in the United States (Internet and Cable TV)... Not to mention the fact that if the US really actually wants to excel, it needs to realize that suppressing the lower and middle class systematically and economically impedes those advances...
