Okay, day one of my gratitude project assignment from Irene Woodard. Here are three things Im grateful for: 1. My grandson, Jonas Phinney, who lives two blocks away from his grandparents (Thats us.) So we get to see him grow up and be his friends. Sharon and I were told we would probably never be grandparents, and then guess who showed up? Hard to believe hes turning 5 and will be starting school this year at the same elementary school his dad went to. Good luck buddy. Hope you enjoyed being a stay-at-home kid while it lasted. Youre gonna be in school a LONG time, kiddo. ;) 2. My second grandson, Anders Phinney, who will be two in a few weeks (and also conveniently lives two blocks away so hes also tricycle close.) I never dreamed Id have two grandsons, so we are truly fortunate. 3. Getting to take both my two grandsons to the NEW PLAYGROUND in the neighborhood at Fallbrook Park last night. Whats especially cool is the grandkids got to see the old playground torn down and remodeled with a splash pool, new swimming pool, two playgrounds, one for kids Jonas age and one for kids Anders age. After that we went home to see the LEGO movie.
