Okay faithful followers Im needing your advise and opinions! As Im sure all of you know much of our outback is being devastated by one of the worst droughts in history. Sheep, cattle, goats and any other animal you can think are dieing daily due to lack of water, lack of feed, and sadly heat. There are numerous organisations out there buying hay and delivering it to these areas to our farmers and graziers. However, one thing Ive not yet seen is aid to horses and owners. I have for months been thinking and discussing with my partner about setting up a small program that helps those affected by drought with the basic care for their horses. I would like to help with worming, providing feed, basic vet care and follow up care for those with horses that are unwell, injured or skinny. Things we would need are to get through summer: - wormers - hard feed (chaff, bagged feed) - first aid products - mineral blocks - electrolytes Then come winter time things like winter rugs and grain. What are your thoughts? Could we get this off the ground??
