Project Manager- fundraisers and events (richmond) The Enrichmond Foundation is seeking a PROJECT MANAGER for fundraisers and events. As is the case with all Enrichmond team members, the fundamental role of the Project manager is to move Enrichmond towards the attainment of our Mission to the public through fundraisers and special events. The Project Manager is expected to offer guidance and support to the rest of the team members and set the example for conduct that embodies our Mission and Values. The Project Manager is a full-time position, responsible and accountable for the results of and the day-to-day operations for all assigned events including recruiting and managing all volunteers. The Project Manager will provide hands-on support as an auxiliary staff member as determined by the daily business of Enrichmond. JOB REQUIREMENTS: ~High proficiency in project management skills. ~Ability to effectively develop and execute plans for event staffing. ~Experience in managing vendor relations. ~Must have basic computer skills including working with spreadsheets. ~Problem solving skills and deductive reasoning abilities. ~Excellent organization skills and time management skills. ~Basic handyman skills and experience working with a variety of tools. ~Ability to lift 50+ pound. ~Ability to stand for long periods of time. ~Some weekend and evening work (comp days provided). ~Exceptional communication skills. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: ~Work closely with the Executive Director in managing all facets of the Foundations special events from conception to completion. ~Ensuring deadlines and budgets are adhered to. ~Directs coordination of activities to prepare for all Foundation events. ~Provide hands-on production. ~Clear communications. ~Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. ~Must work well under pressure, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all events. ~Supervise volunteer recruitment, support, and management. ~Work independently in the absence of supervision. ~Plan and organize logistically successful events. ~Procure all necessary event permits and sanctions. ~Develop and implement event production timelines. ~Coordinate and manage events within guidelines established. ~Analyze event operations and prepare and implement recommendations for improving operational efficiencies within the events. ~Manage and control event expenditures within agreed budgets. ~Identify, secure bids and contract event vendors. ~Assist with solicitation of in-kind donations for the events that will have a direct impact on the bottom-line. ~Coordinate the on-site event environment (e.g., signage, displays, etc.). ~Maintain all event equipment in proper working condition. ~Manage and organizing all equipment/supply inventories for events, including development of equipment/supply manifests. ~Manage transportation of equipment and supplies to event locations. ~Manage the acquisition of additional supplies and equipment. ~Prepare daily/weekly status reports for management. ~Be a true team player. ~Performing other event related duties as assigned by Executive Director. - See more at: enrichmond.org/join-the-enrichmond-team/#sthash.sLqAIM4i.dpuf Please send cover letter and resume - ONLY- to [email protected] compensation: Salary commensurate with experience non-profit organization
