Okay folks, time for another challenge, and this one is right up my alley. My good friend Cassi, who ROCKS a an ACS Relay for Life organizer in Oklahoma, nominated me to take a picture of myself donning a purple moustache within 24 hours to raise awareness for mens cancers, or donate to her Relay for Life event. My Stage 3 testicular is eight years in the rear view mirror, and I want everyone affected to be able to say theirs is going, gone, goodbye, so thats why I am Relaying in June of next year. Now, as some of you know, Im well acquainted with donning moustaches...sometimes more than one, so I was thrilled to be nominated (and to donate to Cassi)! The first picture is me and the purple...nice, right? The second is me and my real moustache and beard....four days in, as my personal Movember pledge to not shave to raise awareness for mens cancers. Im nominating the following folks to take the Purple Moustache Challenge...were travelling to three states here: My first nominee is Larry Wheatley, whom I met during my pink crusades to end cancer, and who has the best real moustache ever! Secondly, Bill LePore, youve been nominated. Bill also rocks a real stache, and his family has been touched by cancer. Last, but never least, is Stacy Keegan Szczepanski. Stacy not only is a part of our Relay for Life team, and crusades in pink with me (shes my pink stache supplier), she is one of the greatest friends a person could ask for.
