Okay folks trying to make it out to catch dogs on the Northside of town today, but I have an appointment with Amy and baby Suarez at 2:00 downtown. Lottie is doing well inside, housebroken now, crate trained, and ready for spay Tuesday (early) The pups I got from the other STARS pick-up are doing well on rescue gruel, but we are after mom today after depriving her from them for a few days Im am confident she will go into the trap for them. Quick safety lesson of the day: No matter how many times you have caught an animal, no matter how long you have been catching strays off the street, remember its SAFETY FIRST! Yesterday I missed getting mom dogs because I ran into a cactus, funny but it could have been traffic, broken glass, or other hazards that could have done great bodily injury. Two (2) of my rescue friends have got bitten in the face last week alone. Not the arm, or leg, were taking the FACE! Both are doing well, and I think the WORLD of both of them, but you gotta be safe!!! Next, I am really sorry that I get so damn busy that I either dont answer my phone or I miss your text. You have to think that I might be UNDER a building (in which case I ditch all my person equipment) Or trying to wait out a dog so my phone is silent or in the truck. I work 24/7 so if you think Oh he is at dinner Ill just call now or He cant be doing something at 2 am well MOST likely Im SLEEPING! LOL! Okay, but its true when you answer emergency calls from Bexar county the county never sleeps. So just please know I have dozens of dogs waiting to get caught, some I have to move up the list because the building they are under is going to be demolished on Monday etc... I dont get upset because I know that every one of YOUR dogs means the WORLD to you, but when there are so few (like maybe 3?) of us that do this kind of capture we are super busy. You know that we are working every day of the week to catch up with the demand.
