Okay here is the news I cant keep it in anymore the Around the world in 80 days trip is postponed. Due to visa issues mainly. I have been in Melbourne for nearly two months now trying to get the trip organised but due to monumental issues with my Chinese and Kazakhstan visa I have decided to postpone it. Now I know why no one has done a trip like this before. But wait here is the great news!!!!!!! My original plan was to start the trip from London at the Reform club, so that is back on track. 10 am Monday June 1st 2015 I will be leaving London at the Refrom Club and commence the trip. And as part of my original plan I will be driving the Bullet to London via Africa and Europe leaving Australia later this year. So there is a whole other adventure. But wait there is even better news!!!!!! What to do in the mean time? Well it is winter in Australia and what better place to hole up and make plans around the world but Queensland. I will be heading back to Rockhampton soon to finish my 300 days and DVD. Both ready for Christmas. Bet wait there is even better news!!!!! A trip idea I have been toying with for a few years now is perfect to fill the void, just a little drive to keep the Bullet in top condition, you ready? Oh yes and YOU yes YOU can be a part of this one. Brisbane to Bathurst via Broome 15 days 11000kms starting in Brisbane 26th September and finishing in Bathurst on Friday the 10 October to coincide with the Bathurst 1000 race. Details of the trip will be posted shortly but in brief all accommodation will be booked and the average drive is about 700 kms a day (Easy) With a stopover in Broome to do a camel ride and another in Ceduna to enjoy oysters as the sunset. You can either do all or part of the trip. I will be organising the whole trip accommodation and most of the of the logistics. All you have to do is turn up in a well prepared car capable of sitting on 100 km all day and be prepared for the road trip of a lifetime. Oh yes there will be a lot of Bonnet surfing along the way and it might not be a bad idea to put another bonnet on your car which can be signed up and surfed and auctioned off at the end.
